The Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Department of Beijing GoBroad Boren Hospital consists of two wards with around 70 beds. It is staffed by 10 full-time physicians including 1 senior-level title, 2 associate senior-level titles, 3 intermediate-level titles, 4 junior-level titles, and 2 part-time physicians. The team is headed by the esteemed Professor Yonghong Zhang, who has held the position as chief physician and professor in the department of Hematology/Oncology, National Center for Children’s Health, Beijing Children’s Hospital, Capital Medical University, and is the founder and inaugural director of the Pediatric Lymphoma Department.

Professor Yonghong Zhang has dedicated over 40 years to the clinical diagnosis, treatment, and research of pediatric hematology and oncology. She possesses a solid theoretical basis and remarkable clinical accomplishments in this area, especially in managing refractory/relapsed lymphoma, where she has spearheaded several innovative studies and achieved significant advancements. Her extensive research has garnered her a prominent academic reputation within both the national and international pediatric hematology oncology communities. She holds various key academic roles. Professor Zhang was instrumental in founding the China-Net Childhood Lymphoma (CNCL) and currently leads it, helping members enhance their pediatric lymphoma diagnosis and treatment to meet international standards. She has also been invited to present at leading academic conferences worldwide, sharing her invaluable insights.

Moreover, Professor Zhang and several members of her team have received training at prestigious medical institutions overseas, such as St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in the U.S., the Pediatric Oncology Center at Prince of Wales Hospital (affiliated with the Chinese University of Hong Kong), the pediatric department of MD Anderson Cancer Center in the U.S, Boston Children's Hospital, and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in the U.S. These experiences have significantly improved the team's expertise and broadened their international outlook.

Regarding patient care, there is also a skilled nursing team headed by the seasoned head nurse, Zhang Rong. With more than 20 years of extensive experience in pediatric nursing at Beijing Children's Hospital, Nurse Zhang leads a team of 28 pediatric nurses, all of whom have strong professional skills and considerable hands-on experience. Together, they strive to deliver the most professional and considerate nursing services to children.
