Zifen Gao is ａ second-level professor, PhD supervisor, and chief physician in the Department of Pathology at Peking University Health Science Center, as well as a beneficiary of State Council’s Special Allowance. She has been engaged in pathology-related education, medical treatment, and scientific research for more than 40 years.

Meanwhile, Zifen Gao is the vice president of World Association of Chinese Clinical Pathologists and Anatomical Pathologists; the vice chairman of Union for China Lymphoma Investigators (UCLI) and a member of the Intelligent Medicine Expert Committee under Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology (CSCO); a permanent member of the Hematological Malignancies Professional Committee of China Anti-cancer Association; the associate editor-in-chief of Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma; a leader of the Department of Pathology of Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Capital Medical University; an expert at the pathological center of Beijing Hightrust Diagnostic Laboratory and at the Clinical Laboratory of Capital Medical University, as well as a senior specialist at the Lymphoma Research Institute of Gaobo Group.

In recent years, she has devoted herself to the internationalized development of the pathology diagnosis modes of hematological diseases, and guided the co-sharing of results related to detection technologies of hematological tumors through proactive communication and unified understanding. She has worked hard to strengthen the quality control of technical links, to promote the diagnosis of hematologic tumors in line with international standards, and to provide accurate diagnosis report for clinical applications.
